Repentance is not to do penance and meritorious deeds that would meet the power to compensate for faults. Repentance is turning to God, because you have confidence in him. You realize the failure of his life, looking to God, and him alone. This new guidance in relation to God produces a total change in thought, which is manifested in highly visible events.
