In good times and over budget, Mides increase its assistance to critical sectors. However, there are more poor before the 2002 crisis and there is no record of beneficiaries who have improved with such assistance. The government allocated in 2010 through the programs of the Ministry of Social Development (Mides), $ 4.418:988.627 (220 million dollars) in cash transfers to low-income households. Most of this assistance for payment of family allowances: $ 3.142:985.751,96. Assists today reached 412,000 and another 160,000 additional beneficiaries covered by the traditional system of BPS, which represents 55% of Uruguayans who had covered that in 2001 . more
